A World-First Automated Finishing Configuration

Plockmatic Group will stage the first public demonstration anywhere in the world of the ColorCut FB15000TO Pro configured with a new large-capacity feeder, creating a fully automated production finishing system for luxury packaging, labels, point-of-sale displays and folding carton. The debut headlines the group’s stand at The Print Show 2026, which runs September 29 to October 1 at the NEC in Birmingham.

The configuration matters because it closes the loop that has long kept digital cutting semi-automatic. Until now, the cutting table and the feeder were separate problems: a fast table still needed an operator feeding media, stacking finished sheets, and babysitting registration. By pairing the FB15000TO Pro with a feeder that supports pallet entry and media stacks up to 700 mm high, Plockmatic is pushing the same “lights-out” automation argument into finishing that has already swept through printing.

Inside the FB15000TO Pro

The FB15000TO Pro is a fully automated cutting system with true B0 media handling and cutting depths of up to 10 mm. It combines intelligent registration with a five-tool head that carries oscillating, v-cut, active tangential, and passive drag tools, so a single pass can switch between kiss-cutting, creasing, and through-cutting across a wide range of materials—labels, folding carton, POS, display, foam board, and corrugated.

The large-capacity feeder is the headline addition, designed for extended unattended production. Pallet entry and a 700 mm stack height mean the machine can run a full shift without an operator re-feeding, which is precisely the labor cost that finishing has traditionally eaten. For converters already running short-run luxury packaging, that combination—B0 format, deep cutting, and unattended feeding—directly targets the same economics that rigid box and folding carton converters care about.

A Broader Finishing Portfolio Debuts

Plockmatic is using The Print Show to push several other UK firsts alongside the FB15000TO Pro. The ColorCut FB9550 Pro-T is a flatbed cutter that supports active tangential cutting, active tangential creasing, active wheel perforating, kiss-cutting, die-cutting with passive drag knives, and debossing in one workflow. It adds automated feeding, sheet pre-placement, and QR code–driven job retrieval, and handles materials from self-adhesive label stock to boards up to 3,000 microns thick.

The show will also mark the UK premiere of the Morgana VFX+ high-capacity vacuum feeder for continuous booklet production, the Morgana NovaBind 300 entry-level perfect binder, and—under the now-integrated Renz identity—the AP360 and MOBI 500 binding systems. The grouping signals how far the finishing portfolio has consolidated: cutting, creasing, booklet making, and perfect binding now sit under one vendor and one automation philosophy.

What the Shift to Automated Finishing Means

Plockmatic’s focus on “reducing operator intervention” is not a niche story. Across the industry in 2026, finishing is where the automation spend is moving, for three reasons:

• Printing got faster. High-productivity digital and offset presses now outpace the cutting, creasing, and binding downstream, so finishing has become the throughput constraint.
• Labor is the expensive variable. Manual feeding, stacking, and registration are the highest-cost touchpoints in short-run work, and unattended feeders attack them directly.
• Short runs reward changeover. QR code job retrieval and recipe-driven setup cut the changeover time that determines whether a short-run luxury job is profitable.
